Radisson Giveaway – yes, I got it

The image is a promotional advertisement for Radisson. It features a blue background with wavy patterns and the Radisson logo at the top. The text reads "COMING SOON, NOVEMBER 10TH" followed by a countdown timer showing "00 DAYS 00 HOURS 00 MINUTES 00 SECONDS." Below the timer, the text says "STAY ONE NIGHT, GET ONE NIGHT!" At the bottom, there is additional text that reads, "To celebrate the U.S. debut of Radisson Blu, we're giving away up to 50,000 nights. Hurry — offer is limited to the first 50,000 guests that register."

It has been like that since around 11 PM EST. Perhaps the site has been hacked. The promotion should have started midnight EST 10 November .

The countdown that stopped working was a test. Do you give up easily? Do you have what it takes? This is what Radisson wanted to find out.

A free night isn’t for everyone.

  1. The trick was to edit the URL to remove “countdown” or whatever it was from the end. Took me a minute.

  2. At about 7:45p eastern, I looked at the website and the countdown WAS NOT THERE. It allowed me to register, also the congratulations message was obscured by the “1,2,3” buttons – so I knew something was screwy. About 2 minutes later, the site was back to the countdown. I didn’t know if I’d registered or not, so to be thorough I did it again when registration was available at midnight. It’s now 11:15a and the landing still says 50,000 which I guess is supposed to mean that the 50,000 is still available.

  3. We did have a glitch with the countdown clock prior to launch on Nov 10, the site has been fully functional since and we are happy to hear that you have registered! We look forward to hosting you!
