Giveaway – 12 Air Canada eUpgrades

The image is a screenshot of an Air Canada webpage titled "eUpgrades to Share." The page provides information about how Air Canada Super Elite status members can request upgrades for up to four eUpgrade Nominees. It explains that once a name is added to the list of eUpgrade Nominees, it cannot be removed or replaced. Additionally, it mentions that members can request upgrades for one eUpgrade Travel Companion who is traveling on the same reservation. There are navigation buttons at the top for "Request an upgrade," "eUpgrade History," and "eUpgrades to Share." There is also a link to learn more about eUpgrades to Share and how to manage the list of eUpgrade Nominees.

I have too many of them and they expire on February 29. I said 12 but there might be more; it depends on whether I will use some of the eUpgrades for myself but I’ll try not to as my flights are usually not more than 3 hours.
Also, there might be a second prize as someone ‘owes’ me a few eUpgrades but this would be more complicated so I cannot guarantee.

The booking classes the eUpgrades are valid for (you could read more details ‘How to request an upgrade’): The image is a chart detailing the upgrade booking windows for different booking classes and statuses. It is divided into three sections: Latitude, Tango Plus, and Tango Plus. Each section lists the booking classes and the corresponding upgrade windows for different statuses (Super Elite, Elite, Prestige, and No status).

- For Latitude (Booking class: Y, B):
  - Super Elite: Anytime
  - Elite: Anytime
  - Prestige: Anytime
  - No status: Within 7 days

- For Tango Plus (Booking class: M):
  - Super Elite: Within 7 days
  - Elite: Within 4 days
  - Prestige: Within 2 days

- For Tango Plus (Booking classes: U, H, Q, V, W, S, K, L, T):
  - Super Elite: Within 7 days
  - Elite: Within 4 days
  - Prestige: Within 2 days (where applicable)

There is also a note stating that customers who do not have Top Tier Status but who hold eUpgrade Credits can request an upgrade within 7 days of departure.

Leave a comment below to win and I’ll randomly select the winner using random.org. I’ll contact the winner using her/his email address and take it forward from there.

The comment has to include:

  1. the location where you are at the moment you are writing this comment, for example: Airport lounge, Toronto or Home, Los Angeles, or Office, New York, etc. ;
  2. the dates when you are planning to fly;
  3. confirmation that the booking class of your ticket is valid for eUpgrades (have added this ‘requirement’ just to make sure no-one wastes her/his time :), as far as I know all international flights are valid for upgrade but I might be wrong).

The contest closes after 8 days 8 hours and 8 minutes.
Sorry, but I couldn’t help it.

  1. Hello – right now in my office at the Univ. of Pittsburgh.

    I volunteered to deliver a two day education workshop at a medical school in Bogota Columbia Feb 21-23. I am taking AC from PIT-YYZ-BOG. Unfortunately the non-profit sponsoring the trip cannot afford business class, despite the red-eye return and a full day of patients after arrival. In other words, I REALLY hope I draw the lucky straw!

    Thanks for having the contest. It’s fun just to anticipate an upgrade. 🙂

  2. Would love to use a couple of these for myself and my husband when we travel to Echo Valley Ranch to redeem our Passports without Borders prize!

  3. Have been living in Canada, and have never gotten on an Air Canada flight to anywhere outside of heathrow.

  4. I am currently on a business trip in Israel but will be flying YVR to YYZ on February 7th and then returning on Feb 12th. Booking class for flights is W and K. Thanks!
