Swiss Banks

I was in Switzerland and I was curious whether I would come across the famous Swiss banks. And I did, accidentally of course, just a door with a sign there was a bank there.

1. PKB PrivatebankThe image shows a large, ornate wooden door set in a stone building. The door has intricate carvings and two brass handles. Above the door is a semi-circular window with decorative glass. To the right of the door, the number "12" is displayed on the stone wall. The building has a classical architectural style with a light-colored stone facade.

A wooden door with a brass plaque that reads "PKB PRIVATBANK AG" is shown. To the right of the door, there is an intercom system mounted on a concrete wall.

I was curious whether they have a website and they do, and the site is in English,  French, Italian plus information in German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian) and Russian (lots of clients from Russia I suppose). The image is divided into two sections. The left section has a dark blue background with a list of languages written in white text: Deutsch, Español, Português (Brasileiro), and Русский. The right section shows a close-up of the pages of an open book. At the top right corner of the image, there are additional language options written in light gray text: English, Français, Italiano, and Other.

However, on the home page ”U.S. Nationals and Residents please click here due to Legal restrictions applicable to your Country.’

The image contains a message in blue text that reads:

"For reasons of US securities laws (in particular the Investment Advisors Act and the Dodd Frank Act) you are not allowed to visit this website.

We cannot and will not, as a matter of principle, give you any investment advice or solicit broker/dealer services as we are not a SEC registered investment advisor or broker/dealer."

It is a matter of time other countries will do the same (I am wondering how Putin can still tolerate his country fellowmen to open accounts with Swiss banks).

2. Notenstein, they have a  website tooThe image shows a wooden-framed glass panel above a door. The glass panel has the text "NOTENSTEIN BANQUE PRIVÉE" written on it, with a red circular logo featuring a white lion above the text.

3.  Millesime Compagnie Financiere, they don’t have a website, finally a proper Swiss bank I thought :), but they don’t seem to be a bank according to moneyhouse.ch.The image shows the entrance to a building with a wooden double door. Above the door, there is a sign that reads "MILLESIME." The building has a stone facade with an arched design around the door. To the left of the door, there is a small plaque with the number "56" on it. The door has glass panels, and through the glass, part of the interior can be seen.

I suppose there are many other banks that don’t have an exterior sign, and of course I would not know about them :).
