Air Canada eUpgrades give away
UPDATE: eUpgrades no longer available (no more spots left on my list of nominees).
Christmas is over, people don’t expect gifts any more but here I am :).
I have more than 100 eUpgrades that will expire at the end of the February and no plans to travel, so I will give some of them away.
Some of my previous attempts to give away eUpgrades didn’t work out too well (see here lessons from the giveaway and the winner of the last draw didn’t respond to my email) but no hard feelings here :).
So to make it simpler, there will not be any draw, I will mainly just choose based on the number of eUpgrades you require, the more the better as we do not want those eUpgrades I have worked hard for (not really, but this travelling every week took its toll) to go unused. Also, if you have many upgradable flights in Jan/Feb that is even better. And of course the main criteria is to follow the rules.
Also, your departure flight should be more than 10 days away as I like to apply the upgrade to the booking exactly 7 days before the departure date, when the system allows it and I think this way there are better chances the upgrade to clear.
What I know is that if the fare is at least Tango Plus you can upgrade but the rules might have changed so you would need to check with Air Canada in order to make sure and state this in the comments.
You would have to must write in the comments:
‘I have checked with Air Canada and my flight is upgradable. My departure flight is on …. from …<full name of city here>… and my return flight is on … from …. I will need …<number>…eUpgrades.’

$50 Bonus from ING Direct Canada http://www.ingdirect.ca/referafriend/ if you open a new account using the Orange Key 17148482S1.
I will get $50 also, sorry about that.
I thought that after being purchased by Scotiabank they will no longer have this double bonus promotion (usually it is $25), but they do have it at least for this year.
I used to have a post with this ‘announcement’ but now I have decided to spam my own posts. I know it is pathetic but I am allowed to :).

He who can read let him understand.
Sadly my next flights are on United to Hawaii. Several hundred $ less than Air Canada and not night time flights from the Islands to home.Good luck to all.

Also, i have read some of your past entries and although you may not think so, you are without a doubt the funniest blogger guy that I have subscribed to! And I have subscribed to this blog and considering many others!

I have checked with Air Canada and my flight is upgradable. Unfortunately my flight is in 3 days on Dec 29th. I’m going to be flying one-way from Toronto to Vancouver to San Francisco on December 29th. I will need 16 eUpgrades: 10 for YYZ->YVR and 6 for YVR->SFO. I worked in Canada for a few months (flying almost weekly to see my family) and now going back home to SF Bay Area, so would be nice to fly in style for the final time. Also not having to pay for baggage would be nice too :-). Thank you
I have checked with Air Canada and my flight is upgradable. Unfortunately it is in 4 days. My departure flight is on Dec 31 from HKG to YYZ. I need 17 eUpgrades. I will not have AC Status until March. Flightstats says R=9. Happy New Year!

Happy 2013! Very generous of you to share your eUpgrades! I opened an ING Direct account using your Orange Key few months ago, but sadly did not win anything.
Is you offer still valid?
My partner and I are traveling from Vancouver to Frankfurt (via Toronto) onto Almaty, Kazakhstan on LH. We would truly appreciate 17 eUpgrades each.
Please let me know.
Happy 2013, Boris! Still 2012 here where I am now :).
Yes eUpgrades are still available, this is the reason
for this post.
