‘You just flew across country in four hours. Shut it.’, Air Canada pilot tweets
This is the tweet that elicited the somehow angry response.
Air Canada’s authorized Twitter account replied, asking for the passenger’s flight number.
Air Canada pilot Yannick Charland tweeted back, “It’s a red alert. Ground staff not allowed to work due to lightning in the area. You just flew across the country in four hours. Shut it.”
Mr. Charland, declined to comment on his tweet. He said only “I better not. I’ll get in trouble.” His tweet has since been deleted.
And the end of story

It’s not the actual delay. It’s the not knowing. Of course weather and technical problems happen. Just tell us so we can make our plans.
It seems this guy asks a question/makes a statement in English. Gets a response in English. Then wants a response (joking) in French. I would tell him to shut up too. :p
No info for 20 minutes isn’t right. Takes no effort for the Capt to announce what’s happening.
